A planar realm of fractured geometry and echoing silence where reality stutters; reached only through corrupted gates, it is the source—and graveyard—of the kingdom's failing magic.
Before the Fall, the Shattered Resonance was an abstract plane—a repository of pure arcane force that the kingdom's founders anchored to the material world through the Sunken Spire. It was meant to be unreachable by mortal minds: untethered from space and time, existing in harmonious resonance with Duskward's spell-network.
Now it bleeds through. The corrupted gates that connect the Crux to the Resonance open onto landscapes that hurt to perceive: fractured terrain that exists in multiple angles at once, structures that are simultaneously ruins and blueprints, silence so complete it becomes deafening.
The Unravelling is visible here most clearly. This is where the kingdom's spell-logic goes to die—where old enchantments dissolve into aberrations and the corruption spawns things that have no name. Archon Meridian believes the answer to reversing the Fall lies deeper in the Resonance, in its most inaccessible core. No one who has gone that deep has returned to confirm or deny her theory.
The Rust Wardens send teams to map what they can. The Council sends soldiers to claim artifacts. Sometimes they're the same people.
